Psalms 90:1-92:15

What God said to me – Walk with Me and I will teach you to number your days.  I will show you what is truly important and help you to prioritize the things in your life.  “I AM” your refuge – not just from the storms of life, but from the “stuff” of life.  All the “stuff” can be pretty overwhelming at times, distracting you from what is really important.  When you take refuge in Me, I give you rest from all those things that consume your time and attention.  I help you to focus on eternity and things that matter.  Weariness brings a lack of focus so you’re unable to see through all the “stuff” to what is really important.  It becomes a vicious cycle of busyness and weariness.  Stop!  Rest in My shadow.  Let Me restore you.  Let Me teach you to number your days.

Psalms 85:1-89:52

What God said to me – Only I can change a heart.  No amount of self-discipline or self-denial can change a heart for it is too deep.  Self-denial and self-discipline can only go so far . . . can only make superficial changes.  I alone can give you a new heart, an undivided heart, a pure heart.  Walk with Me and I will teach you My Way.  I will put My fear in your new heart.  I will help you to keep your focus on Me so your heart will not divide.  You are fearfully and wonderfully made – not just physically, but spiritually.  I designed you to be filled up with Me.  I designed you to commune with Me.  Think about that.  What a wonderful thing that is.  Let Me fill you up and fulfill My purpose in you.

Psalms 81:1-84:12

What God said to me – Look to Me for “I AM” your strength.  Set your heart and mind on Me for “I AM” your ultimate home.  Yearn for Me.  Long to be with Me.  The human desire to go home is an innate desire put there by Me.  The longing to be home is really the longing to be with Me.  It is a longing that draws you to Me for you know instinctively that “I AM” home.  This walk through life is a pilgrimage that leads you home to Me.  When you recognize that and turn and walk with Me, I give you strength for the journey.  Everyone’s way home is different.  I choose the path best for you, whether through the valley or over the mountain.  Each one must walk with Me for there is no other way home, but through Me.  I give you strength each step of the way and I guide you each step of the way.  Step by step, from strength to strength until we are face to face – walk with Me.
