Deuteronomy 19-20, Psalms 59, Acts 13:26-52

What God said to me – What is your sphere of influence?  Look around you – at your family – at your friends – at those you work and play with – at those I put in your path as you go about your day.  Just as I placed Paul as a light to the Gentiles, I have placed you where I placed you to be a light to those in your sphere of influence.  Because of this you must be constantly on guard.  Watch your speech so you are encouraging and uplifting and kind in all you say.  Watch you actions and responses, so you are an example of what it means to walk with Me and be My child.  Whether you realize it or not when people know you are Mine, they are constantly watching you to see if you truly live out what you say you believe and who you say you are and some watch for you to fail so they can pounce.  So be on your guard and take care – it is not just your reputation that is at stake but Mine.

Deuteronomy 17-18, Psalms 58, Acts 13:1-33

What God said to me – It is easy to become discouraged as you see darkness overcoming the world and evil being lifted up and praised and righteousness being denigrated.  Though it may seem overwhelming at times don’t be discouraged because the present is not the end so don’t focus on it.  “I AM” a God who judges and you should take comfort in that – evil is not going to prevail.  The day is soon coming when all of the wrongs will be judged and right will prevail.  That should be your focus rather than the overwhelming darkness.  That should be the impetus for you to share the good news of the gospel and the hope you have because of it.  You can be joyful and shine a light to draw others to Me.  People are afraid and looking for answers – you be ready to give them.

Deuteronomy 15-16, Psalms 57, Acts 12

What God said to me – I have a plan for each one of My children that is customized for them – for their good and My glory.  The things I do or don’t do in your life are based on that plan.  Don’t assume that because I did something in one person’s life that I’ll do the same for you or because I answered a prayer in a certain way once that I’ll always answer your prayer that way.  I had an angel release Peter from prison and lead him to safety.  But I also opened the prison gates for Paul and had him stay and minister to the jail keeper and his family.  So when you are facing a trial or difficult circumstance don’t assume that you know what “I AM” going to do.  Cry out to Me and seek My direction.  Sometimes I heal but sometimes I don’t.  Sometimes I release but sometimes I don’t.  You must learn to trust that no matter the circumstances “I AM” in control and carrying out My perfect plan.
