Exodus 27-28, Psalms 2, Luke 3

What God said to me – The time of John the Baptist was a time of uncertainty.  Something was going on but no one was really sure what.  The people were restless and in a state of expectations wondering if the coming of Christ was near.  Today is much the same.  The nations are in an uproar and things are uncertain.  People are restless and again wondering if the coming of Christ is near.  So how are you to live in such a world?  The same way John the Baptist did.  You walk with Me.  You stay in My word.  You watch for and use every opportunity to point people to Me.  Many are anxious and frightened by the things going on in the world.  The news is full of tragedy and evil.  Because of this many are open to hearing the good news of the gospel because they long for peace and are at a loss as to how to find it.  You have the answer they are seeking so be faithful to share.

Exodus 25-26, Psalms 1, Luke 2:25-52

What God said to me – As a believer, as My child, I have given you all you need for life and godliness.  You have my word and you have My presence.  You have My Spirit within you convicting you of sin and righteousness and judgment and teaching you and leading you into all truth.  So where does your mind go when you are idle – do you daydream or do you meditate on My word?  Do you pray or do you complain?  Where does your mind go when you are stressed?  Do you turn to My word for comfort and help or do you panic and go your own way?  Do you pray or do you complain?  I have provided abundant resources at your disposal – My word, My Spirit, My presence.  All you have to do is turn to Me.  You are without excuse.  I will give you wisdom if you just ask.  I will give you peace if you just trust.  “I AM” always here and I will never leave you for forsake you.
