Ezekiel 28-29, Isaiah 10, Hebrews 6

What God said to me – Have you ever seen a run down, dilapidated neighborhood and thought “how in the world can anyone live like that?”  The truth is they probably don’t have the money or the skills or even the desire to change it.  What if you owned one of these properties but you had a friend who said they would come over for an hour a day and help you and show you what to do and provide all the tools necessary to fix things up?  Then he showed up every day whenever you would meet him, and he taught you something like how to mow the lawn or fix the shutters or paint or plant flowers and your house and yard began to be attractive, and people began to ask how you did it.  In your own life I have given you everything you need for life and godliness.  I’m here whenever you want to meet with Me, and I will teach you and train you and help you.  I can show you how to remove the “weeds” in your life and how to fix the “broken shutters”.  I’m here every day and willing to help you.  As you spend this time with Me allowing Me to transform you, you will become more attractive to others and they’ll want to know how you changed – how you are so at peace – how you have such hope – and then you can point them to Me.

What God said to me – You think that because I don’t answer your prayers in the way you want Me to that I don’t hear you, but I do.  I always hear you when you cry out to Me.  But just like the things I allow you to go through are for your good an My glory, so are the answers or non-answers to your prayers.  On the night My Son, Jesus, was arrested He went to the garden and prayed with loud crying and tears to Me because I was able to save Him from death.  I heard His prayers, but He still went to the cross and died.  His death was the only way to save you, My child.  Had I answered His prayer and let death pass from Him, you would have never been saved and become My child.  He never would have conquered death and been resurrected in glory.  My plan is always perfect.  Trust Me it is for your good and My glory.

Ezekiel 24-25, Isaiah 8, Hebrews 4

What God said to me – I have given you everything you need for life and godliness.  You have more at your fingertips than believers at any time in history.  You have My word in your hand to read and to study whenever you want and if you don’t have your Bible with you, it’s on your phone or laptop or iPad.  I have given you My Spirit to live within you, to teach you and guide you and convict you and intercede for you.  My Son ascended to My right hand and is your great High Priest who sympathizes with all you go through because He experienced the same trials and temptations.  He intercedes for you at all times, in all things.  You can now approach My throne with confidence and receive mercy and grace to help in time of need.  So, what are you doing with so great a salvation?
