Jeremiah 30:1-31:26, 1 Timothy 2, Psalms 87:1-7, Proverbs 25:18-19

What God said to me – “In the latter days you will understand this.”  There is so much in My word – layers and depths and nuances and hidden truths – so much that can only be understood by spending time in it with Me teaching you and revealing truth to you.  There is also much that cannot be understood until the time is right.  I told Daniel that much of what I told him would be concealed and sealed up until the end of time.  I told Jeremiah the same.  I reveal truth at the proper time, both in your life and in history itself.  So much of what I say can only be understood in context, whether it’s in your life or in history.  As you walk with Me and I teach you and prepare you to receive and understand more and more -precept upon precept – I build My truth in your life.  My word has depths that will take you a lifetime to understand, but the more you devote yourself to it, the more intimately you come to know Me.

Jeremiah 28-29, 1 Timothy 1, Psalms 86:1-17, Proverbs 25:17

What God said to me – There are so many voices all saying different things so how do you know who you should listen to?  That’s why it’s so important that you stay close to Me.  My word is the filter that you should use for all things.  Test everything with the word to see if it aligns with what I say and reject those things that don’t.  When I told the people of Israel that I had plans for their welfare and not for calamity to give them a future and a hope, they were in the midst of captivity in Babylon – a captivity that would last for seventy years.  Their circumstances – the things they were seeing and experiencing did not negate My promise.  I promised them a future and a hope.  I promised them they would find Me when they searched for Me with all their hearts.  It is the same for you.

Jeremiah 26-27, 2 Thessalonians 3, Psalms 85:1-13, Proverbs 25:16

What God said to me – Jeremiah stood in the court of My house and preached the words I told him to say – judgment was coming and they better repent and return to Me.  However false prophets were also preaching a message of peace and safety and prosperity.  The people would not listen to Me – they chose the easy message – the happy message – what they wanted to hear – what made them feel good.  Churches today are filled with people only wanting to hear an easy message – a happy message – a message that feels good – a message that says all you have to do to be saved is to recite a prayer.  My message is more difficult – My message says you have to believe and repent  – My message says turn from your sin and follow Me – My message says you be holy as “I AM” holy – My message says in this world you will have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world.  The psalmist said, “I will hear what the Lord God will say.”  Will you?
