Daniel 11:2-35, 1 John 3:7-21, Psalms 122:1-9, Proverbs 29:1

What God said to me – You live in the midst of a godless society, and it doesn’t take much for them to plunge further and further into depravity because that is their natural inclination.  As a result, those of you who are Mine appear to be more and more different from the rest of the world.  This difference will begin to draw criticism and derision until it grows into actual persecution.  You must walk closely with Me every day so I can strengthen you and prepare you to stand strong and persevere no matter what you face.  I will give you insight into what you should say and do so you can lead some to righteousness.  As people become increasingly afraid because of the world situation, you will find opportunities to share your faith.

Daniel 9:1-11:1, 1 John 2:18-3:6, Psalms 121:1-8, Proverbs 28:27-28

What God said to me – I have laid out My plan and it is firm – from the beginning to the end, I will carry it out.  So if My plan is set, what is your part?  Your part, like Daniel, is to pray.  Pray for repentance.  Pray for people to turn to Me.  Walk with Me in holiness in an unholy world.  Watch for opportunities to share the truth about Me.  People are restless and uncertain in these difficult, chaotic times so some are open to hear.  Use this to share about the peace they can have in Me.  Use this to share about My love.  Use this to share about the coming judgment.  Time is growing short.  Use every opportunity.  Your faith and steadfastness and peace in the midst of uncertain times will draw people so be diligent and faithful to share.

Daniel 8, 1 John 2:1-17, Psalms 120, Proverbs 28:25-26

What God said to me – There is an age-old philosophical question, “which came first, the chicken or the egg?”  For those who know My word, the answer is easy – the chicken came first – I created it.  The egg came forth as a natural result of the chicken growing and maturing and reproducing.  There is a similar question with regards to salvation – are you saved because you do good works and keep My commandments or do you do good works and keep My commandments because you are saved?  Again, for those who know My word, the answer is easy – salvation comes first, by grace through faith.  My Son, Himself was the propitiation for your sin – He satisfied My wrath and judgment by His sacrifice on the cross.  It is natural and human to think you must do good and be good in order to be saved, but My word tells you that you can’t be good and do good or even keep My commandments until you are saved – all your righteousness is like filthy rags.  That said – those who are saved will do good works and keep My commandments – this is a natural result of believers growing and maturing and reproducing.  One of the assurances of your salvation is that you keep My word and you are broken hearted and repentant when you don’t.  The one who is My child will strive to walk in the same manner that My Son walked.
