Romans 14-16, Proverbs 22:17-29

What God said to me – You live in such a difficult time that many people are depressed and sad and disillusioned and without hope.  They don’t see or understand that “I AM” at work and carrying out My plans.  You, however, as My child have some resources they do not have – you have My Spirit within you and you have My Word.  You must constantly be in My Word.  It is not just stories and historical accounts – these things written in earlier times were written for your instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures you might have hope.  There are stories of faith and answered prayers and victories but also of sin and judgment and tragedy.  Through it all you see My faithfulness in carrying out My plans and fulfilling My promises.  If you want to grow in faith and perseverance and have hope – stay in My Word.

Romans 12-13, Proverbs 22:1-16

What God said to me – There is a saying that is good for you to remember as you go through life and see so many different people and circumstances – “there but for the grace of God go I.”  Paul said something similar when he said, “For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think.”  Never forget that I chose you to be My child and that you are who you are and where you are because of My mercy and My grace – not for anything you are or have done.  This should cause you not only to be constantly worshipping and praising Me and expressing your gratitude, but it should cause you to walk in humility and kindness knowing that all you are and have is because of My goodness.

Romans 9-11, Proverbs 21:17-31

What God said to me – Oh the depths of the riches of My wisdom and knowledge.  There is no end, but you must spend your lifetime searching.  As I reveal more and more of myself to you, your spirit becomes richer, your character deepens, and your faith becomes stronger.  There is such an unending joy in getting to know Me.  I reveal Myself in so many ways, but you must be seeking in order to see Me.  Sometimes it’s huge and grand like fireworks exploding in the sky above and sometimes it’s small and quiet like a whispered secret.  Sometimes it’s in the pain of going deep and sometimes it’s in the lightness of flying high.  Keep your eyes open, always looking, and I will reveal Myself to you.
