Genesis 47-50

What God said to me – The scepter will not depart from Judah – “I AM” King and I will come again to rule the nations.  Don’t worry about all you see going on in America and around the world.  “I AM” always in control – ever orchestrating events to accomplish My purpose.  Sit back and watch as you would watch a play – see Me accomplish My plan.  In this play you are not just the audience – you are also a participant – when you see Me at work, join in and be a part of My great accomplishment.

Genesis 43-46, Psalms 16

What God said to me – Look upon My face for “I AM” here always looking at you.  Don’t keep on looking down, always seeing the circumstances you are in – look up!  Look to Me, knowing that “I AM” in control.  I have assigned you your circumstances . . . your lot in life.  It is part of My plan for you.  Don’t bemoan where you are.  Rejoice in My plan for you.  Focus on Me.  Set your mind on Me.  Let every step begin with the thought “Where now Lord?”  I will guide you.  Even through the mundane routines and chores of your life, seek Me.  You will find joy in the ordinary as you do things with Me as your focus.

Genesis 40-42, Psalms 14-15

What God said to me – The psalmist wrote that I look down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if there are any who understand.  Notice that “I AM” not looking down to see who is doing “good”.  I don’t judge based on outward appearance and actions – those are easily faked – I look at the heart.  People can put on a front and seem to be upright, good people who appear to be “Christian” outwardly, but in the end I will say to them, “depart from Me, I never knew you.”  So, as you examine your life, don’t look at the things you’ve done, look at your heart – are your motives and thoughts and intentions focused on Me and pleasing Me?  Where do you go in your heart and mind when no one is looking?  Let not just the words of your mouth be pleasing to Me, but also the meditations of your heart.
