Ezekiel 20, Isaiah 3:24-26, 4, Hebrews 1

What God said to me – When I sent Israel into exile into Babylon as judgment for their sin, the elders of Israel came to Ezekiel, My prophet, and wanted to hear a word from Me.  My response to them through Ezekiel was “I will not be inquired of by you.”  Why did I respond this way?  Why didn’t I speak to them?  Because they were unrepentant of the very sin that brought about their exile – idolatry.  Today so many people wonder why I never speak to them – why they can’t understand My word or get anything out of it.  The reason is typically one of two things – either they are not My child or they are My child but living in sin.  For those who are not Mine – spiritual things are spiritually discerned so without My Spirit living in you and teaching you, you can never understand My word.  The thing I have to say to them is to come to Me, repent, believe, and be saved.  For those who are Mine but living in sin My word to them is to repent and return to Me or you will be like the elders of Israel who asked Me to speak to them, but I refused until they repented.  Don’t take this time with Me and hearing Me speak through My word for granted.  Many long for it and never experience it.  Be faithful in your walk and don’t neglect this time – it’s special.

Ezekiel 18-19, Isaiah 3, Jude 1

What God said to me – There are always going to be people outside of the faith who don’t know Me or accept My ways who will mock you and Me and live ungodly, disrepute lives.  However, the people who should cause you the most concern are the people within the church who say they are of the faith, but who are not.  They have crept in talking about tolerance and acceptance and watering down the gospel to make it palatable to everyone.  Rather than preaching repentance of sin to those who are living sinful lives, they preach tolerance and acceptance of sin to those who are Mine.  Like the false prophets of old, they crept into the church unnoticed with a message that sounds good on the surface – “God is love”, but they have subtlety changed it to “because of God’s love everyone is welcome and accepted” and they reject the idea of repentance and turning away from their sin. They neglect preaching about holiness and judgment.  You must stay alert.  You must know My word and stay close to Me so you can discern false teaching and take a stand against it.

Ezekiel 17, Isaiah 2, Matthew 28

What God said to me – You’ve heard the saying “there are two sides to every coin.”  The representation on each side is different, but the coin is the same coin no matter the side you see.  With Me, people usually focus on My love, but the opposite side of the coin is hatred of sin.  People like to focus on My kindness, but the opposite side of the coin is My wrath.  People like to focus on My forgiveness, but the opposite side of the coin is My judgment.  Unlike the flipping of a coin at the beginning of a game where the toss determines your position is totally random, your relationship with Me or lack thereof is what determines your position and is anything but random.  Those who are Mine will experience My love and My kindness and My forgiveness, but those who are not will be looking for a place to hide from My terror and the splendor of My Majesty and will find no place to escape.  Today is the day of salvation.  Warn and witness with urgency.  Once the coin of judgment is tossed there will be no changing sides.
