Luke 13-15, Ecclesiastes 2

What God said to me – Look to Me for your example and keep your eye on the goal as you go through life.  Filter everything you do or say by looking at the goal to see if those things bring you closer to the goal or move you away from the goal.  I endured the cross by keeping My eyes on the goal – to please My Father and accomplish His will.  Sufferings and trials are not easy but when you see them through the filter of reaching the goal, you begin to understand how they help you in getting there.  Fix your eyes on Me, the author and finisher of your faith.  Trust Me in this and one day you will hear “well done My good and faithful servant”.

Luke 10-12, Ecclesiastes 1

What God said to me – I have chosen to reveal Myself to you.  I have chosen to reveal hidden things to you.  That is what it means to walk with Me.  “I AM” your teacher and your guide into the hidden truths of God.  Spiritual things are spiritually discerned.  Those who do not have My Spirit cannot understand these things nor do they have a desire to understand.  Your seeking, your questions, your struggles to understand are signs that you are Mine.  Stay in My word.  Keep questioning and seeking understanding.  Deep truths are not easily attained.  I reveal Myself to those who earnestly seek Me.  Keep seeking.

Luke 7-9, Psalms 94

What God said to me – Take care how you listen.  Are you listening with your head or your heart?  Are you paying close attention to Me or are you tuning Me out?  To hear from Me you must intentionally seek Me out.  You must walk with Me and stay in My word.  Most often I speak through My word so if you are not spending time there, you are not hearing from Me.  You must be intentional as you spend time in My word, not just carelessly scanning so you can check it off some list, but purposefully reading and listening for what I have to say.  If you want “ears to hear” you must seek Me for “I AM” the word.
