Exodus 21-22, Job 40:25-32- Job 41, Luke 1:39-80

What God said to me – Don’t worry or fret when you find yourself in the desert.  When you find yourself in a desert in your life – look to Me because “I AM” at work in you.  John the Baptist lived in the desert until the time I called him to go before My Son and prepare His way.  My Son Himself spent time in the desert being tested and strengthened before His ministry began.  It is in the desert that you learn faithfulness and steadfastness.  It is in the desert where I deepen our relationship and you truly learn to depend on Me alone.  During this time cling to Me and allow Me to work in you to strengthen you and cleanse you and make you a vessel that I can use.

Exodus 19-20, Job 40, Luke 1:1-45

What God said to me – I called Israel to be My own possession among all the peoples of the earth.  I called them to be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.  Their responsibility was to live for Me and serve Me and worship Me and in doing so they would lead the world to Me.  As a whole they failed miserably but there were a few who were faithful, some of whom saw and recognized the coming of My Son.  Then I called My church to be a people of My own possession.  I called them to be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.  Their responsibility was also to live for Me and serve Me and worship Me and in doing so lead the world to Me.  You, My child, are part of My church.  So how are you doing in living up to your responsibility?  Are you living for Me and serving Me and worshipping Me?  Time is running out.  Faithfulness in your calling is necessary if you want to hear Me say “well done”.

Exodus 17-18, Job 39, 2 Peter 3

What God said to me – When an athlete reaches peak conditioning as he prepares for an event, he doesn’t stop.  He continues to work diligently until the event is completed knowing that if he slacks off his condition will deteriorate and he won’t be prepared for the actual event.  In the same way you must continue diligently in your walk with Me, never slacking off but continuing to grow in grace and knowledge until the end.  Your goal is to be found by Me in peace, spotless and blameless at My coming.  You must constantly be on guard so you don’t fall away from your steadfastness and faithfulness in your walk with Me.  The only way you can do this is to cling to Me and to be faithful to this daily conversation.  I will encourage and prepare you as well as discipline and teach you so you can walk in a manner worthy of your calling and then you won’t be ashamed at My coming but will rejoice and celebrate.
