Deuteronomy 17-19, Psalms 45

What God said to me – You have no need for a prophet . . . you have Me . . . you have My word.  Stay near Me and spend much time in My word for then you will know all you need to know.  In this ongoing conversation we have as you spend time with Me, I speak to you not only to fellowship with you and to teach you, but to reprove you and warn you and give you direction.  Stay close to Me and I will never let you go too far to the left or right.  You will be exactly where I want you to be.  I will open your eyes to My work all around you, not just in your family, church, and community, but in the world.  “I AM” accomplishing My purposes and plan even now.

Deuteronomy 14-16, Psalms 44

What God said to me – You are My child.  I have separated you and all of My children from the world.  You are My treasure and “I AM” your God and Father.  Honor Me. Worship Me. Spend much time with Me and in My word for as you do, you learn to revere Me.  Like a child, I teach you day by day.  As you learn and grow, My teaching and interaction with you will become deeper, more intimate.  I will slowly but surely transform you into My image.  You will begin to act more and more like Me and think more and more like Me.  There is nothing that pleases a father more than to hear it said that his child looks, and acts like him.  You are My child.

Deuteronomy 11-13, Psalms 43

What God said to me – Thirst for Me always for “I AM” not only the sustainer of your life, “I AM” the refresher.  Too often My children wait until they are in dire need before they turn to Me.  They wait until they have tried everything they can think of and when nothing else works, then they turn to Me.  Don’t be like that.  Speak to Me often.  Speak to Me about everything.  Walk with Me moment by moment and I will guide you step by step.  I want to be such an integral and important part of your life that “I AM” like the air you breathe . . . you cannot make it a step without Me.  I also want to be like the water you drink.  Come to Me periodically and drink of Me that I might refresh you.  Be anxious to get alone with Me.  Anticipate our private time together.
