Ezekiel 23, Isaiah 7, Hebrews 3

What God said to me – You’ve heard the saying “there is no “i” in team” meaning you can’t win all by yourself, but you need to work together.  There is also no “i” in house or no “i” in body.  When I saved you, I placed you in a house – My house.  When I saved you, I put you in a body – My body.  You were saved as an individual but now you are part of a group – a family – and you need them, and they need you.  One of your primary responsibilities within the family is to encourage one another.  By yourself it is easy to fall away, to expose your heart to sin, and be hardened.  It is not as easy to fall away when others are encouraging you and challenging you to grow and serve.  It is not as easy to fall when you are encouraging and challenging others to grow and serve.  You need this time with Me each day, but you also need time with other believers.  Look for opportunities each day to encourage and uplift one another.

Ezekiel 22, Isaiah 6, Hebrews 3

What God said to me – You’ve seen a glass of water, clear and pure.  But there are some things you can add to it to totally change it – if you stir in some cement, it becomes cloudy at first, but then it begins to harden – if you stir in some gelatin, it becomes cloudy at first, but then it begins to set up.  Your heart is like that and must be guarded so you don’t inadvertently let in something that will cause it to harden.  Exposure to sin without turning away and rejecting it will affect your heart whether you realize it or not.  Be careful what you watch and read and listen to because it has the potential to change your heart and turn you away from Me.  It’s easy to spot the “cement” and guard your heart from the really bad stuff like pornography.  It’s the soft stuff, the “gelatin” that seems so harmless but starts to set up and glob up your heart and our relationship – so be careful what you watch and read and listen to lest it starts to slowly set up and change your heart, so you accept sin as normal, and it turns you away from an intimate relationship with Me.

Ezekiel 21, Isaiah 5, Hebrews 2

What God said to me – Do you have any idea how loved you are and how special your salvation is?  When I sent My Son in the flesh to redeem you and you repented and believed, you became His brother and My child.  You take it for granted but think about the angels – when man rebelled and fell, I sent My Son in the flesh to redeem him and become My child – but when the angels rebelled and fell, I made no provision for their redemption or salvation.  Think about that.  I created angels as ministering spirits on My behalf and at My behest, but I created man in My image for fellowship, to love and to become My children, so when they fell, I made provision for salvation and restoration.  Don’t neglect so great a salvation because you are loved, you are chosen, you are Mine.
