Matthew 26

What God said to me – I know that having a consistent steadfast walk with Me is not easy.  The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.  So how do you do it?  How do you remain steadfast and not fall away or fall to temptation?  The same instructions apply to you as I gave to the disciples – you must watch and pray.  You must watch Me constantly and you must be on the alert for ways the enemy might approach.  You cannot let your guard down.  But you can’t just watch, you must also pray.  That is what this lifelong conversation is about – you talking to Me and Me talking to you.  You sharing your heart with Me and Me sharing My heart with you.  Me warning and teaching and you listening and obeying.

Matthew 22-23

What God said to me – The mindset of My children should be totally different than the mindset of those who are not Mine.  It actually should be the opposite.  The world says exalt yourself – look out for number one, but I say humble yourself and become a servant to others.  I say love your neighbor as yourself.  You try to make following Me so much more difficult than it actually is.  If you would learn to filter all you say and do through the two greatest commandments – love Me with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and love your neighbor as yourself, then you would consistently walk with Me and please Me.  Then you would hear Me say “well done My good and faithful servant.”

Matthew 20-21

What God said to me – Sometimes you look at your life and say “what a waste – what have I actually done for you Lord?”  But I say to you that you have no idea of the impact you have made for Me.  I may not have called you to the foreign mission field or called you to serve in ministry, but I have and still do use you when you walk with Me day by day, seeking Me, praying to Me, conversing with Me.  In the parable of the laborers, some worked all day and others just for an hour, but I rewarded each one for his work.  It doesn’t matter how long a time or how short a time you have walked with Me, I will use you to accomplish My purposes.  Your blessing is Me walking with you and fellowshipping with you – either here or there.  Forget those things that lie behind and press on to the mark – to Me.
