Psalms 86-89

What God said to me – It is difficult to consistently walk in faithfulness when you have a divided heart.  Part of you longs to please Me and walk with Me, but part of you is drawn to the world.  That is the constant battle of the Spirit and the flesh.  As much as you try to unite your heart to always be faithful, you fail and slip back into the flesh.  Only I know the depths of your heart and only I can cleanse and unite it so you can be steadfast in your walk.  Let your prayers for yourself not be for health and wealth and success, but cry out to Me to teach you My ways and to give you an undivided heart so you can walk faithfully with Me.  The only way you will ever stop slipping back into the world is to let Me unite your heart.  Trust Me to do this work in you.

Psalms 80-85

What God said to me – No good thing do I withhold from those who walk uprightly.  Do you truly believe that?  The problem is you think good things are success and not having problems and having possessions are happiness.  Your definition of good things and Mine is often totally different.  When I say good things, I don’t just mean what you would consider as blessings, I also mean those things I use to transform you and teach you, including trials and difficult times because these things lead you into a closer relationship with Me.  I can use even the worst things in your life for your good and My glory.  That is what it means to work “all” things together for good to those who love Me and are called according to My purpose.

Psalms 78-79

What God said to me – It doesn’t matter how much I do some people are never satisfied – even some of those who say they are Mine.  Their prayers are for themselves and for the “stuff” they want.  What about you?  Are you satisfied?  Are you content with where I have placed you?  Don’t waste your prayers always praying for more and better.  I long for truly committed intercessors – people with a heart for prayer and for others.  The greatest ministry you can have is to pray for others.  Always look around you asking Me to open your eyes to the cares and needs of those you encounter.  Even if you don’t know why, if I lay someone on your heart, then pray.  Don’t focus on yourself – focus on Me and on others.  I will take care of you and your needs.
