1 Samuel 1-3

What God said to me – A word from the Lord was rare in those days just as it is today.  Do you know why?  Because people have gone their own way – they do what is right in their own eyes and never seek Me or they do what is wrong and don’t care about the consequences.  Most people don’t want to know Me because in their hearts they know they would have to change and they don’t want to do that.  It’s every man for himself with no consideration of right or wrong, good or evil.  In spite of this, don’t be discouraged.  “I AM” still in control and carrying out My plan.  There are still a few who will come to Me before the end.  You be faithful to tell them when I bring them to you.

Ruth 1-4

What God said to me – No matter what circumstances you find yourself in or what trials you have encountered, it is important that you walk with Me and minister to those I bring into your life with kindness.  It is not easy when life gets you down to rise up and keep going.  The most important thing is to first choose your relationship with Me.  To walk with Me faithfully you must choose to leave behind those influences, whether people, or books, or movies, or television, or habits, or places which lead you away from Me and draw you into ungodly relationships or lifestyles.  You must choose to walk with Me no matter how difficult the circumstances and show My love and kindness to those I bring to you.  You’ll find that I will also bring others to you who will respond and minister to you with love and kindness.

Judges 19-21

What God said to me – Sin within the nation of Israel brought judgment and devastation.  The entire nation grieved and wept at the consequences because it affected them all.  Sin within your nation will affect the entire nation and bring judgment which will affect all.  Grieve for your nation.  Fast and pray for their repentance.  Pray for all who suffer the consequences of the turning away of society from Me.  You may be righteous but when sin infiltrates an entire society, no one is untouched.  Whether it’s the actual effects of the sin and judgment itself or the grief and sorrow you feel for those who are affected.  No matter what happens, you must be committed to being one of the remnants who still walks with Me and seeks Me.  Don’t let your walk slip into becoming one of those who does what’s right in his own eyes and not Mine.
