Joshua 5-8

What God said to me – Just as Israel faced many enemies and obstacles when they went in to take the promised land, you face many enemies and obstacles in your life.  I gave Israel very specific instructions as to what they should do.  I long to do the same for you if you will only seek Me out and do what I tell you.  You seem to think because you are not in an actual war that you can handle it yourself.  The problem is, you are in an actual war – a war against unseen forces and you need Me to tell you what to do in each case.  Look at the example of Jericho and AI.  It took obedience by the Israelites to win the battles.  Seek Me out when you face trials and obstacles.  I will tell you what you should do – when you should speak and when you should keep silent, when you should act and when you should remain still.  Seek Me.  Trust Me.

Joshua 1-4

What God said to me – Memorials are important to remind you of the way I have worked in your life.  Set up markers as a reminder and a way to draw attention to My goodness and faithfulness.  It doesn’t have to be a pile of stones like Israel erected when they crossed the Jordan on dry land.  It could be a piece of jewelry or an object in your home and when someone comments on it, you can give testimony of My greatness.  It is important for you to remember so you can express gratitude and grow in your faith.  It is important to vocalize to those you encounter that “I AM” your God and “I AM” faithful.  The world sees Me through you – live for Me – speak about Me.
