Deuteronomy 30-31

What God said to me – I know your life from beginning to end.  I know your heart.  I gave Israel the blessings and curses not just so they’d know the consequences of disobedience but so they’d know that their blessings were from Me when they obeyed and the curses were My judgement when they disobeyed.  You see when you read this that I knew they would disobey.  Judgement would come.  But I also gave them hope and a way to return to Me.  I never gave up on them and some day they will return to Me.  It is the same for you.  When you stray in disobedience I will discipline you but know that I never give up on you.  I have provided a way for you to always come back.  Repentance is the road home.  I will always forgive.

Deuteronomy 28-29

What God said to me – You don’t have to ask Me to bless you, you just have to obey.  When you walk in obedience My blessings come upon you and overtake you.  I love to bless My children as they walk in obedience. I bless in many ways, not just materially.  I use people and circumstances to confirm the direction I want you to go.  I give you peace and contentment.  I bring you into relationship with other believers who will encourage and bless you.  As you walk with Me each day, I will open your heart and eyes to see My hand of blessing even in the smallest things.  Look around you with open eyes.  See My hand of blessing.  Acknowledge who “I AM” and all I do for you.  Express gratitude freely.

Deuteronomy 24-27

What God said to me – Take time for reflection and showing gratitude for all I have done and provided in your life.  Don’t constantly look ahead to what you need or want, stop and look back and acknowledge My faithfulness and provision.  Express your thanks and gratitude and acknowledge that all you have and are comes from Me.  Doing so will build your faith as you reflect on My faithfulness.  With all the turmoil and uncertainty in the world today remembering My past faithfulness will give you trust and hope for the future.  Take the time to share the reasons for your hope with your children and grandchildren and others you encounter.  They are in need of hope so share the lessons you’ve learned about My faithfulness.
