1 Chronicles 9-11, Ecclesiastes 11

What God said to me – Do you see how I always accomplish My purpose and carry out My plan?  The world would look at the death of Saul and see the tragedy of war.  But I tell you that I carry out My plans by using men who think they are in control.  They have no idea how they are being used by Me to accomplish My purpose.  They only see from their limited perspective and think they are in charge.  Always remember this when you look at the world stage and wonder how My plan will come about.  I will move men like men in a chess game.  I will position them where I want them and, in the end, I will rule and establish My kingdom.

1 Chronicles 5-8, Ecclesiastes 10

What God said to me – Life is difficult, but you make it so much more difficult by going on your own way and not seeking Me.  The path I take you on is not always easy, but it is My path and “I AM” with you as you go.  When you are on My path and you cry out to Me, “I AM” there to comfort you and direct you as you should go.  You must learn to cling to Me each step of the way, not only when the way is treacherous, but when it is easy.  When the way is easy it is also easy to go your own way – to depend on yourself and not on Me – to think you can go it alone.  In the end the easy way might prove more treacherous than the difficult way because it can lead you away from Me.

1 Chronicles 1-4, Ecclesiastes 9

What God said to me – So many names long forgotten except by Me.  I know each one by name just as I know you.  Most lived and died with nothing to draw attention or be remembered by.  Jabez was remembered because he was an honorable man.  He was remembered for his prayer.  What will you be remembered for?  To be honorable, to be a person of prayer leaves a legacy that is not soon forgotten.  Learn to walk with Me and to choose those things that are eternal for those are the things you will be remembered for eternally.  The temporal will pass away.  Choose those things that will last.
