Jeremiah 49-50

What God said to me – My people have become like lost sheep.  Their leaders and their shepherds have led them astray and My people have willingly followed because their dependence was on them and not on Me.  It is easy to be misled when you don’t have a strong relationship with Me.  You must know My word yourself and that only comes from study and meditation and constantly searching it and asking My Spirit to teach you.  When you have this kind of relationship with Me and My word, you won’t be led astray.  You’ll be able to see through what false teachers and ungodly leaders are saying and promoting.  This is why it is so important for you to spend this time with Me.  Be diligent and stay in My word.

Jeremiah 46-48

What God said to me – Everyday is a spiritual battle for those who belong to Me.  You are surrounded by uncleanness, by evil, by sin, and immorality everywhere you look – whether just walking down the street or flipping channels on your television.  You think you are doing okay and then it is there before you can blink your eyes.  I told Egypt through Jeremiah to “take a stand with your helmet on”.  It is the same for you.  Part of the armor that I have provided is the helmet of salvation.  It is only because of your salvation that you can truly guard your mind from the assaults of the enemy.  Each morning you need to put on your armor so you are ready each day to withstand the attacks by the enemy.  His attacks are like guerilla warfare – sudden and unexpected.  You must be prepared at all times lest you fall.

Jeremiah 42-24

What God said to me – My people have it all backward – they decide what they are going to do and then pray and ask Me to bless it when they should start by asking Me what they should do. It’s no wonder they lose faith because they have so few prayers answered. I promised to answer when you pray according to My will – not yours. No matter the circumstances you should always begin by praying and asking Me for direction. You can’t truly know how to pray for anything until you seek My will. Only when you have ascertained My will can you pray in faith. There will be times when I reveal My will in a matter and it is not what you want. When that happens rather than praying in vain for it anyway or trying to change My mind, pray for Me to change yours so your heart and mind align with Mine. This is where you can truly pray in faith.
