Jeremiah 30-31

What God said to me – “In the latter days you will understand this.”  There is so much in My word – layers and depths and nuances and hidden truths – so much that can only be understood by spending time in it with Me teaching you and revealing truth to you.  There is also much that cannot be understood until the time is right.  I told Daniel that much of what I told him would be concealed and sealed up until the end of time.  I told Jeremiah the same.  I reveal truth at the proper time, both in your life and in history itself.  So much of what I say can only be understood in context, whether it’s in your life or in history.  As you walk with Me and I teach you and prepare you to receive and understand more and more -precept upon precept – I build My truth in your life.  My word has depths that will take you a lifetime to understand, but the more you devote yourself to it, the more intimately you come to know Me.

Jeremiah 26-29

What God said to me – There are so many voices all saying different things so how do you know who you should listen to?  That’s why it’s so important that you stay close to Me.  My word is the filter that you should use for all things.  Test everything with the word to see if it aligns with what I say and reject those things that don’t.  When I told the people of Israel that I had plans for their welfare and not for calamity to give them a future and a hope, they were in the midst of captivity in Babylon – a captivity that would last for seventy years.  Their circumstances – the things they were seeing and experiencing did not negate My promise.  I promised them a future and a hope.  I promised them they would find Me when they searched for Me with all their hearts.  It is the same for you.

Jeremiah 23-25

What God said to me – As you watch the news and see and hear all that is happening in the world, you think it can’t be real, it’s like something happening in a movie.  You watch it all and wonder how things could have changed so quickly and you long for the past.  Don’t long for the past, long for Me.  Don’t long for things to be different, long for My will to be done.  Despite what you see, you can know that “I AM” in control.  Despite what you feel, you can know there is hope.  You must be diligent in praying.  You must cling to Me in faith.  You must trust that “I AM” working all things for your good and My glory.  Look for Me in the midst of all of the chaos knowing that “I AM” at work.
