Ezekiel 9-12

What God said to me – People live their lives believing that if all the judgment in My word is true that it’s way out in the future so they can live as they want and when the time is closer, they can “straighten” out their lives.  Even My own people live like this.  One problem with this thinking is that I carry out My plans in My time – not yours.  You don’t know when judgment is about to fall and when it does, it’s too late for repentance.  You must live your life every moment to please Me and walk in a manner worthy of your calling.  The other issue with this false thinking is that people can’t “straighten” out their lives.  I alone can save.  I alone can change hearts.  Even those who are Mine can’t change themselves.  Your sanctification comes as My Spirit transforms you as you daily walk with me.  It is only as you walk in this manner that you can live in such a way that you won’t be ashamed at My coming.

Ezekiel 5-8

What God said to me – I showed Ezekiel the judgment that was to come on My people, Israel, the apple of My eye, My chosen.  Their sin became blatant – what they once did in secret they openly did without remorse.  I had to judge them harshly or I would have lost them forever.  I had to discipline so I could restore them.  Now look at society today – the public abominations – the rejection of all that is godly.  With all of the ungodliness displayed so openly, you can know that the sins committed secretly are much worse.  Just as I had to judge Israel, I have to judge the world – even My own church for their blatant sinful lifestyle and rejection of Me.  It is worse now than ever before.  Stay close to Me.  Pray without ceasing.  Your redemption draws nigh.

Ezekiel 1-4

What God said to me – Judgment is difficult.  It is meant to be so that evil is punished and people are chastened.  Just as in the days of Judah and Israel even My own people are rebellious.  I have appointed you and all who are still walking faithfully with Me as watchmen on the wall to warn them about what is coming.  You job is to share My word – whether they listen or not.  It is not your job to convert.  It is not your job to save – that is My job.  Your responsibility is to live faithfully in a corrupt world and to share My word as I direct.  You cannot base your effectiveness or your success on their response.  Your walk with Me and your obedience to warn and share as I direct is the plumbline I use.  Most will dismiss what you say, but there are still a few who will respond.
