Job 29-31

What God said to me – You are not exempt from the troubles of the world just because you are Mine.  My own Son suffered poverty and cold and hunger.  But His suffering was not just physical, it was also mental and emotional as He saw those around Him who rejected Me and disparaged Him.  He mourned those who were spiritually blind and rejected Me.  Most of all – He prayed.  He spent much time with Me seeking My directions and how He should respond.  Don’t let your immediate reaction to injustice or wrong be action or rebuttal or preaching – let it be prayer.  Come to Me.  Seek Me.  Seek My direction about what your response should be.  Don’t alienate those who need to know Me because of your quick response or accusations.  Come to Me and let Me calm your spirit and show you what you should do or say – then obey – even if I tell you to do nothing.  Sometimes that is the hardest thing of all.

Job 24-28

What God said to me – I see the end from the beginning.  I see the finish from the start.  “I AM” sovereign but when I created man I gave him a choice and he chose the wrong thing in spite of the warnings I gave.  The things you see now going on in the world, both in society and in nature are the natural results of that wrong choice, of disobedience and sin.  All the world is paying the price.  Occasionally I intervene with a miracle, but most of the time I don’t.  What I do is give those who are Mine all they need for life and godliness and I use all those things to work good in your life when you seek Me and walk according to My ways.  I give you peace in the midst of difficulty and I give you direction around it or through it.  Stay close to Me and trust Me to be with you always. 

Job 21-23

What God said to me – The world is in chaos.  Sin and evil are growing in society until righteousness and good seem to be smothered out.  The world denies Me until something as horrific happens and then they cry out “where is God – why did He let this happen?”  They treat Me like a genie in a bottle who is to appear only when they summon him.  Many of My own children are this way also.  They go along living their lives without engaging with Me and then cry out to Me when things go wrong.  I have called you to be different – to have a moment by moment walk with Me – to seek Me in all things – to share with Me all things.  There will be times in your life that you can’t sense My presence but know that I would never abandon you.  “I AM” always here.  Hold fast to My path.  Keep My ways and do not turn aside.  Stay in My word and be faithful no matter what.  In due time you will see the reward of your faithfulness.
