Psalms 9-16

What God said to me – Quit trying to fix everything for everyone.  Just as “I AM” your defender, “I AM” also theirs.  You focus on doing what is right and good and let Me deal with the wrong doers.  Trust Me that I will convict those who are Mine and judge those who are not.  You are not the Holy Spirit and it is not your job to convict those who wrong others.  When you try you usually cause resentment and hinder My work in their lives.  You just pray and go on following Me.  Trust Me to work out things for their good and My glory.  Set Me continually before you and set your mind on things above and you will please Me.  I will fill you with peace and joy to replace the turmoil and anxiety.

Psalms 1-8

What God said to me – When all the world is in an uproar around you, when evil seems to be prevailing and the ungodly prospering – don’t focus on all of those things – look to Me.  Your hope is in Me.  You can settle into despair or you can walk in hope and peace and the assurance that “I AM” in control.  This daily conversation and walking together is more for you than it is for Me.  Don’t misunderstand – I long for this time and enjoy our friendship, but “I AM” all sufficient – I don’t need this time, but I want this time and I love this time.  You, however, need this time with Me.  You need the constant assurance from Me that things will work for your good and My glory.  You need the reminder that “I AM” in control of all that is taking place around you.  You need the peace that only I can give.
