1 Chronicles 6:1-81

What God said to me – I spread the Levites throughout the land by giving them allotments from the land allotted to each of the tribes of Israel.  I did this for a reason.  People need the influence and witness of My priests where they live in order to draw them to Me and to teach them to serve and worship Me.  The same way I have spread My priests, the church, throughout the world.  Your responsibility is to serve Me by ministering to them and pointing them to Me.  Your influence is necessary within the community in order for My name to be lifted up.  I use your witness and influence to accomplish My purpose and bring the lost to know Me.  You must be diligent to maintain an exemplary character so your witness is untainted and I can use you to reach them.

1 Chronicles 3-5

What God said to me – Be careful in times of peace for that is most often when you fall away from Me.  Look at the example of Israel.  When they were at war and in the midst of battle, they cried out to Me and I answered their prayer and gave them peace.  But once they were at peace, they deserted Me and went after the gods of the people of the land.  In many ways it is easier to stay close to Me when you are in trouble – you realize how much you need Me because you can’t help yourself.  But when times are calm it is easy to fall away if you are not diligent.  You don’t feel the urgency for My presence or My help and so you begin to slowly slip away.  It’s during these times that you must make the effort to spend more time with Me, not less.  You must bind yourself to Me so you will not falter.

1 Chronicles 1-2

What God said to me – You see a list of names – some you know and some you don’t and you can’t figure out why I’d bother to list them.  You see names, but I see people I used to accomplish My purposes – some willingly and some unknowingly.  I see a testimony to My sovereignty in the world and in individual lives.  “I AM” sovereign and I will carry out My plan for this world.  The question is are you going to be a willing participant in advancing My kingdom?  It is a decision you must make every day.  Are you going to walk with Me in obedience or are you going to go your own way today?  When you choose obedience you get to participate in My work and experience the joy and peace that comes as a result.  When you don’t, you experience frustration and dissatisfaction.  Choose you this day whom you will serve.
