Deuteronomy 1-2

What God said to me – To walk with Me is to follow wherever I lead no matter how easy or how difficult the journey.  It is learning the lessons I set before you as you go.  There is always a lesson or preparation – even what seems to be down time is to give you time for restoration so you will be prepared for whatever comes next.  You must constantly be sensitive to what “I AM” saying to you and doing with you and around you.  Use the lulls in activity to spend extra time in My word and seeking Me so you will be prepared for what I have next for you.  Do not waste those times because you will need to be able to draw on all you learn during these times as you face difficulties and trials.

Numbers 33-36

What God said to me – When Israel went in to take the land which I gave them, I commanded them to drive out “all” of the inhabitants who were in the land because if they let any remain, they would become pricks in their eyes and thorns in their sides and bring them trouble. I know My people and what they are susceptible to and how easily their hearts would lead them astray. That is why I was so specific with them and with you – I know your heart and the things that will lead you astray. This is why you must constantly guard your heart and your eyes. Allowing one little thing that you think is not “so bad” can lead you into sin that becomes a snare for your entire life. My instructions are for your good. Following My commands will keep you from a lifetime of struggling with sin you allowed to slip in. Trust that My word is for your benefit. Trust and obey.

Numbers 31-32

What God said to me – I have promised My children an abundant life if they will follow Me in trust and faith, yet many times, they settle for so much less than what I have planned for them.  Some of the tribes of Israel saw the land on this side of the Jordan and settled for that rather than trust what I had for them on the other side was better.    You do that when you see where you are and decide it is okay and that you could live with that which you see rather than stepping out in faith anticipating what I have in store.  Fear and lack of faith keep you from My full blessing.  Walk in faith and not in fear.  Trust Me to fulfill My promise of the best for you.
