Numbers 21-22

What God said to me – “I AM” the only cure for your sin.  Just as Israel committed the same sin over and over again – they complained and repented – they complained and repented – you do the same.  Do you want to overcome your repeated sins?  Do you want to conquer them?  Then look to Me.  “I AM” the only way.  You cannot discipline yourself into purity.  You are not strong enough.  Only I can overcome.  You must constantly come to Me.  Let Me cleanse you and remove your besetting sins.  Stay in My word.  Memorize it.  Say it over and over.  Meditate on it.  I will wash you with the water of My word.

Numbers 18-20

What God said to me – You must never allow the complaints of those around you to affect your response.  You must always seek Me and what I would have you to do.  Don’t allow your frustrations to dictate your behavior.  Listen to Me and obey.  It is possible to do the right thing in the wrong way – with the wrong attitude.  Don’t allow others to affect your relationship with Me.  When you are irritated or frustrated, seek Me – turn to Me – ask Me how you should respond.  It’s not easy, but maintaining and unbroken fellowship with Me is worth it.

Numbers 16-17

What God said to me – When you live for Me in the world, there will always be people like Korah who question your relationship with Me and the confidence you have in My word.  You must take a stand no matter how many stand against you – even if it is the whole world.  You must stand firmly on My side and not waver.  People are easily deceived by their smooth arguments and flattery – they say all are holy – they say all are chosen – they say you are no different – they say you are weak – they say you are a fool.  Stand firm.  It’s not their opinion that counts – it’s Mine.  “I AM” in control and one day they will see it and bow.  You remain faithful.  You remain steadfast.  It’s not your responsibility to convince them.  It’s your responsibility to stand strong.
