Numbers 28-30

What god said to me – Do you see how complex the sacrificial system of atonement is?  I know you don’t understand why, but I instituted it for a reason.  Atonement is not easy or simple.  I wanted My people to understand that truth.  They are called sacrifices for a reason – atonement comes at a cost – a cost you could never pay.  I made the sacrifice for your atonement.   The sacrificial system I required of Israel is just a picture for you of how difficult it is and the high price that had to be paid.  It was not easy for Me, but it was not easy for Israel either – or for you.  You must humble yourself in order to accept the atonement I made on your behalf and you must believe in the effectiveness of the sacrifice I made for you.

Numbers 26-27

What God said to me – Moses didn’t have all the answers but he was humble enough to come to Me and ask those things he did not know.  Even those things that seemed logical or right, he didn’t just assume but he came to Me to ask and verify what he should do.  You must be humble enough to do the same.  Don’t just assume you know what needs to be done or what you think you want to do – ask Me.  I will give you instructions or directions or whatever is necessary for you to follow in My will.  It takes humility to admit you don’t know the answers. It takes faith to seek Me for them.  Exercise humility and faith to come to Me.

Numbers 23-25

What God said to me – The world does not like it when you follow Me – when you do as I say.  They are opposed to Me and My ways.  They want the blessings that come from Me but are not willing to repent and turn to Me to receive it so they will try to get those who belong to Me to affirm their lifestyles and wicked ways.  You must stand strong in order to please Me.  You must not compromise or falter in your beliefs.  You must learn to be kind without wavering or compromising.  You must stand on My word no matter what the world says.  You will not be popular or even liked in some circles.  However, it’s not their opinion of you that matters – it’s Mine.  Seek to please Me.  Stand strong.
