2 Thessalonians 1-3

What God said to me – You are My beloved and I have chosen you from the beginning for salvation and sanctification by My Spirit.  “I AM” in the process of changing you and conforming you to My own image as you walk with Me in obedience and as you seek to know Me in Spirit and in Truth.  You live in perilous times and it is easy for you to take your attention off of Me and put it on the world around you.  However when you do that it’s easy to lose hope and give up and quit trying.  Keep your eyes on Me.  As you seek Me and as you are in My word I will comfort you and give you hope.  I will strengthen your heart so you can continue in My word and in every good work as I direct you.  You will see Me at work even in this difficult time and I will make you worthy of your calling.  In doing so you will not be ashamed at My coming.

1 Thessalonians 1-5

What God said to me – When you look at the Thessalonians you see that in spite of much tribulation, they were examples to all believers because of their faith in Me and their consistent walk and witness.  When you examine your own life – your walk and witness – can you say the same?  Are you an example to others because of your faith in Me and your devoted walk with Me?  When you walk with Me consistently and strive to excel still more in your diligence and faithfulness, you please Me.  When you walk this way, I will establish your heart in holiness so that you will be without blame and you will not be ashamed at My coming. When you live your life with the knowledge of My soon coming at the forefront of your mind it will change the way you live and think.

Colossians 1-4

What God said to me – You received Me by trusting and faith and that is the way you are to continue in your walk.  In order to do this you must be firmly rooted in Me and built up in Me.  To be rooted in Me and established in your faith you must be in My word – there is no other way.  When you neglect My word you have difficulty hearing My voice and you become susceptible to the vain philosophies of the world and you are easily deceived.  These things may have the appearance of wisdom so you can easily be sucked in if you are not grounded in Me and My word.  When you are consistently in My word and seeking to hear from Me and to be taught by Me you can discern the inconsistencies in those things.  Set you mind on things above and allow Me to renew your mind with true knowledge and wisdom.
