Isaiah 49-53

What God said to me – You are grieved for your family.  You are grieved for your nation.  You are grieved for the world.  As you look around and you are so sad and grieved because it seems so impossible for things to change – for people to turn back to Me – remember Me – “I AM”.  “I AM” able to change hearts and lives.  “I AM” able to answer prayers.  “I AM” able to carry out My plan.  Just look at the example of Israel – they were far away from Me, and the people scattered to the ends of the earth, but now they are in their land, and they are on the cusp of turning back to Me once and for all.  Just look at the example of Jesus, My own Son.  I turned My back on Him for a moment so He could accomplish My purpose and now He is seated at My right hand and on the cusp of returning for His final triumph.  Don’t give up and don’t give in to your sadness and grief.  Pray – “I AM” on the cusp of answering.

Isaiah 45-48

What God said to me – There is no one besides Me.  “I AM” the Lord and there is no other – the one forming light and creating darkness – causing well-being and creating calamity.  “I AM” the Lord who does all of these.  You read this in My word, but do you believe it?  It is easy to believe that well-being and light are from Me because that is what you want – that is what everyone wants.  They want an easy, prosperous, wonderful life.  The problem is that people think they can gain this on their own – they refuse to turn to Me or acknowledge Me.  Very few understand that I also use darkness and calamity to accomplish My purposes, both in those who are Mine and in those who are not.  Very few truly understand that “I AM” in control of it all.  When you finally understand this, you will be able to walk in peace and you will be able to rejoice no matter the circumstances.

Isaiah 40-44

What God said to me – I have kept silent for a long time.  I have kept still and restrained Myself.  However, the time of restraint is drawing to a close.  Sin is growing exponentially and there is no restraining it unless I intervene.  Even with judgment falling people will refuse to acknowledge that their sin is what brought the judgment.  They make excuses to justify their sin as a normal way of life.  They don’t even acknowledge that judgment is falling – drought or storms – war or violence – disease or death – they refuse to believe that I brought them about to judge their sin.  There is still a little time left for repentance to those who would turn – for those who will not, more is coming.  You must be diligent to warn and to minister in the midst of it all.
