Song of Solomon 1-8

What God said to me – Time is winding down so don’t waste it dwelling on past failures.  Look up – look forward – look around – don’t look back.  Forget those things which lie behind and press forward.  I see you not as you were, or even as you are, but as you will be.  You are My beloved and I sought you out knowing what you would become when I became your Savior – knowing what you would become when I transformed your life.  Trust Me to complete My work in you as you walk with Me.  “I AM” faithful.  “I AM” your Beloved and you are Mine.

Ecclesiastes 9-12

What God said to me – Life is fleeting so don’t waste it.  Try to live every moment knowing that “I AM” in control.  Good and bad happens in every life.  You must learn to live trusting that no matter your circumstances, “I AM” in control and carrying out My plan.  Even in difficult circumstances if you can learn to face them with this understanding, you will find peace and joy.  You can have the assurance that “I AM” doing a work in your life that could be accomplished no other way.  This is truly walking by faith.  This is truly pleasing to Me.

Ecclesiastes 5-8

What God said to me – If you want to truly know Me you must come quietly with an attitude ready to listen rather than to speak. Beautiful, articulate prayers are impressive to people, but not to Me. I look at your heart and your attitude and your desire. Do you come wanting to know Me more deeply or do you come wanting to get what you want? Do you come because you love Me and want to spend time with Me or do you come so you can check it off of your list and feel good about yourself? I desire your heart more than your sacrifices and offerings. I desire your quiet, receptive spirit rather than flowery praise.
