Ezra 4-7

What God said to me – Ezra set his heart not just to study My word, but to practice it – and not just to practice it, but to teach it.  Do you see the progression of how My word affects a person’s life and walk when they commit themselves totally to Me?  My word can and will change your life when you commit yourself to study it.  “I AM” the word and as you spend time studying, you are spending in depth time with Me.  As you spend in depth time with Me, the natural result is for you obey and practice My word.  As you begin to obey and practice My word, you’ll begin to teach it – maybe not in a formal classroom setting, but in your day-to-day life as you share what you have learned with the people you encounter.

Ezra 1-3

What God said to me – “In order to fulfill the word of the Lord” – what a statement.  You never have to fear that I will not do what I say – I always fulfill My word.  As you look around and see the chaos in the world and sin overwhelming society, look to My word and don’t be sad or afraid.  “I AM” at work bringing My word to fruition.  “I AM” orchestrating the ultimate fulfillment of My word.  The world is not winning – it is only demonstrating the fact that My word is true.  Don’t be anxious or impatient because it will only take a second for everything to change.  In the meantime – you be faithful.  You be diligent.  Share every time I give you opportunity.  There are still some who will come before the end.

2 Chronicles 35-36

What God said to me – It only took a short time to go from all My people worshipping and serving Me under Josiah, to falling away and doing evil in My sight under his sons and grandsons.  Society can turn away quickly when there is no godly leadership or influence.  When that happens, the few of My children who remain faithful are the only hope the world has to turn to Me and forestall judgment.  You must stay faithful so you can stand in the gap praying, witnessing and influencing where you can.  It won’t be easy and it will get more difficult as time goes on.  Time is growing short and the door of grace is closing.  There will come a day when there is no remedy but judgment.  Until that day, you remain steadfast and faithful.
