2 Chronicles 2-5

What God said to me – When Solomon built the temple for Me he sent for the most skilled artisans he could find and the finest materials available.  He spent seven years and untold fortune preparing it and that temple is no more – it was destroyed because of the sin of My people.  Today I dwell within My people – in you, My child.  It doesn’t require fortunes or great artisans to make you a place fit for Me to dwell.  It only takes obedience and submission and cooperation with Me as I work to transform your heart.  Unlike Solomon’s temple which was destroyed, you are Mine eternally.  No matter how big a mess you make of your life, all you have to do is turn to Me and I will clean it back up.  I don’t move out until you get things fixed – “I AM” with you always.

1 Chronicles 28-29, 2 Chronicles 1

What God said to me – Solomon asked for wisdom and knowledge in order to accomplish all that I called him to do. He didn’t ask for health or wealth or ability. Did you know wisdom is the one thing I always give My children when they ask? If any of you lacks wisdom – ask Me for it for “I AM” always willing to give it generously – yet it is usually the last thing you think ask for. You usually ask for healing or money or ability or a miracle. You need to learn to start every prayer asking for wisdom – wisdom to know what to do – wisdom to know what to say – even wisdom to know how to pray. So many prayers are unanswered because they are not according to My will. When you start by asking for wisdom as to how you should pray and then pray accordingly, you can pray with the assurance that you are praying according to My will.

1 Chronicles 25-27

What God said to me – I have a duty for each one of My children.  No one is insignificant or unimportant.  There are those who are considered great in the world’s eyes and those who are considered unimportant, but they are all the same to Me.  There are those who are very talented and gifted and those of little ability, but these things are not how I judge the usefulness of my children.  Faithfulness and diligence and willingness and obedience are the things that are important to Me.  “I AM” sovereign.  I don’t need people who have great abilities or talents to accomplish My purposes.  I desire to use faithful, willing children who I can work through to glorify My name.
