2 Samuel 13-15

What God said to me – Just as David loved Absalom even in his sin, so I love My children even in their sin.  Like Absalom who ran away from his father when he sinned, you run away from Me when you sin.  However, that is the time you should be running toward Me, not away.  “I AM” the one who made provision for you when you sin.  “I AM” the one who forgives and restores.  You cannot change the fact that you sinned – it is done and past.  You can however change today and the future by returning to Me quickly and confessing and repenting.  I grieve when our fellowship is broken.  I never banish My children because of their sin – I convict and forgive and restore.

2 Samuel 8-12

What God said to me – Sin is so prevalent in the world today that even My children do not take it seriously.  You have ranked sin by “bad” and “not so bad” and pat yourself on the back that you are not like the world because your sin is in the “not so bad” category.  You don’t realize or don’t acknowledge that all sin is against Me.  All sin affects our relationship and your walk with Me.  You must be holy because “I AM” holy and you are Mine.  When you sin you blaspheme My name before the very people “I AM” trying to reach.  You damage your ability for Me to use you to reach them.  People do not respond positively to hypocrites.  You must humbly acknowledge your sin and allow Me to restore you so I can use you.  You must stay close to Me so I can make you holy.

2 Samuel 4-7

What God said to me – For My children who faithfully walk with Me, I do more than they could ever think or imagine.  Look at David who wanted to build a house for Me, but it was I who built a house for him that would last forever and impact the world in a way he never even dreamed.  I do the same for you.  I have blessed you and protected you and provided for you in ways you have no idea.  I have prepared a place for you that will last forever – a place where you can be with Me forever and walk and talk with Me as a friend.  The relationship we have now is nothing compared to what it will be.  The longer you walk with Me in faithfulness and obedience, the closer we get and yet there is more – so much more.
